Get the scoop on ancient grains and their role in our diets with this hands-on program. Taste healthful recipes using ingredients such as teff, farro, and more, and prepare two recipes to take home with you.
Ancient grains are a group of grains and cereals that have resisted modernization, unlike the more popular and widespread wheat, rice, and corn. From amaranth to quinoa, ancient grains offer valuable nutritional benefits and add great flavor, texture, and variety to our diets.
Join registered dietitian and chef Lynn Dugan in an exploration of these intriguing grains. You’ll enjoy the taste, nutrition, and ease of preparation of three featured grains: teff, farro, and chia. On the menu: Teff Rosemary Crackers with Assorted Fruit and Cheese, Summer Farro Salad with Tomatoes and Herbs, and Sweet Orange Chia Pudding.
