On Assignment at the Arboretum: Telling a Story with your Camera

Course Description

blue phlox carpets a woodland floorTry your hand at photojournalism on the lush grounds of the Arboretum. 

Develop a series of images to show a story about the Arboretum and present them as a portfolio. The story should show the Arboretum in its best light and instill a desire in the viewer to want to visit the Arb. The class will consist of two shooting assignments and four class sessions. Participants will choose a theme, create images based on that theme, and have those images critiqued before assembling a final story. Portfolios or presentations  can be in print, a slideshow, or a movie.

Supplies: A DSLR camera is required; bring a tripod if you have one.
