Course Description

Capture a unique collection of eggs, feathers, and nests in colored pencil or graphite. The Arboretum’s collection of eggs comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors, from the tiny speckled egg of a house wren to large, creamy shell of a goose egg. Pair eggs with nests and feathers to create your own unique ornithological still life that will get you itching for spring. In this class you will

  • Learn to set up a still life and take reference photos you can work from later.
  • Watch demonstrations of graphite and colored pencil technique
  • Work under the guidance of your instructor
