Course Description

Instructor Susan Fink poses happily behind a row of kombucha bottles. Brew your own kombucha at home. Learn the history and science behind the popular fermented tea, kombucha, and how it can benefit your health. Watch a step-by-step demonstration of how kombucha is made, and about the fermentation agent used, called a scoby. Get detailed instructions and a supply list to start your own brew at home. Get all your kombucha questions answered during the Q&A session.


Preorders for scobies are now closed! Information will be provided in class about how to order.

Susan Fink is the founder and brewmaster at Karma Kombucha in Mundelein, Illinois, and a board member of Kombucha Brewers International. With a BS in Food Science, Susan spent 35 years in the food industry before starting her own kombucha brewing operation.
