Course Description

 

Travel the world's great trails as told from the perspective of beloved nature writers. Weaving together literary accounts and her own insights from time on the trail, author Cindy Crosby will explore why we hike to find ourselves, and what do we discover when we get there?

From old standards to new voices, from the heart-wrenching to the humorous, hear excerpts from writings such as A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush, On Trails: An Exploration, Wild by Cheryl Strayed, and A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson.
