Learn more about common oak species, current pests, and diseases of oaks, and how to manage oaks in natural and urban landscapes. This workshop will focus on conservation threats to oaks, explore how oaks hybridize and discuss potential pest and disease impacts to oak trees. Examples of exotic diseases and pests of concern include but are not limited to bur oak blight, oak wilt, Hypoxylon canker, bacterial leaf scorch, oak ambrosia beetle, and twolined chestnut borer. Discover ways to protect, care for and preserve oak trees.
