Course Description

Ice crystals cloak a leafe
Compose dramatic photographs of water in its many forms in this nature photography class for intermediate and advanced photographers. Capture a fresh snow on the prairie, icicles, an intricate snowflake, a frozen lake, steam from evaporation, or droplets of water hanging from bare winter branches. Instruction will cover close-ups, landscapes, and the use of black-and-white photography to highlight textures of ice and snow. Assignments will be completed on your own time; the second and third class meetings will be constructive critique sessions of your work.
