Designed for youngsters ages 2 to 10 years, the Kids Dash takes place on a loop course in the heart of the festivities. The race will begin at 9:30 am and be staged in the following heats:
2-4 years - 50 yards
5-6 years - 1/4 mile
7-10 years - 1/2 mile
All Kids Dash participants will receive an event t-shirt and a finisher's ribbon. View the Kids Dash Course Map

Packet pick-up is available as follows:
Thursday, October 3: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday, October 4: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 5: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
THERE WILL BE NO FREE PACKET PICK-UP ON RACE-DAY.
Other packet pick-up options are available for an additional fee.
Packet Mailing - $10
Your race packet, including race bib, t-shirt and other materials, will be mailed to you before the race week. Final day to select this option is September 21, 2019.
Race-Day Packet Pick-up - $10
Pick-up your Race Packet at The Morton Arboretum on race-day.
Race Day Information:
AWARDS: Awards can be picked up at 9:15 a.m. at the Packet Pick Up Tent. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female, as well as the top three men and women in the following age groups: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and up. Overall male and female winners do not qualify for a medal in their age bracket. The top three overall winners, male and female, are determined by gun time. Age divisions winners are determined by chip time.
GEAR CHECK: Gear check is available for free from 7:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., across from the Visitor Center main doors. Gear will be checked according to bib number. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please do not check anything of value.
PARKING: Free parking is available onsite at The Morton Arboretum. Please allow plenty of time to park and walk from parking areas. Participants are encouraged to carpool.
PROHIBITED: Motorized vehicles, bicycles, rollerskates, and pets are phobitied on the race course.
STROLLERS: Strollers are permitted on the course. Participants with strollers MUST start in the back section of the starting line, labeled Runner and Walkers with Strollers. This is very important for the safety of all our runners.
TIMING AND SPLITS: The race begins at 8:00 a.m., all participants must cross the start line by 8:10 a.m. and cross the finish line by 9:30 a.m. Large digital clocks will be stationed at miles 1and 2. Finish line times will also be displayed on digital clocks.
RESTROOMS: Portable restrooms will be available near the start line. Restrooms are also available inside the Visitor Center and West Pavilion building.
RESULTS: Race results will be available immediately following the race onsite and on Athlinks.
WATER STATIONS/FIRST AID: Cups of water will be available at the start and finish lines, and on the course. An advanced Life Support Ambulance will be on-site during the entire event.
WEATHER/EMERGENCIES: The race will take place rain or shine. In the case of emergency, participants will be notified by 6:00 a.m. on race morning via email with event updates. Notifications will also be posted on the webiste and The Morton Arboretum's Facebook page.

Pre-registration at the Arboretum will close at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30.
Online registration will close at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4.
You can register at packet pick-up time, but T-shirt availability will be limited.
Register from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, October 6, at the Arboretum’s Registration Tent near the Visitor Center. Please arrive early to ensure proper registration.

The Fall Color 5K is a CARA certified race
