  • Digitally explore the intricacies of the prairie landscape and learn how to restore these signature American ecosystems at The Morton Arboretum. Online component begins Wednesday, October 24, 2018
  • Strengthen your skills leading volunteers in natural areas management with this interactive primer for volunteer stewardship activity planning, group dynamics, safety, and volunteer empowerment at The Morton Arboretum. Online component begins: Friday, September 21, or November 2, 2018. In person component: Saturday, September 29, or November 10, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Learn to effectively and efficiently use the tools of the trade to tackle different restoration jobs at The Morton Arboretum. Dates and times vary starting June 4, September 11 or November 6, 2018.
  • Identify and apply short and long term restoration activities to enhance wildlife habitat at The Morton Arboretum. Saturday, November 17, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Learn the essentials of woodland ecology and the woodland management techniques necessary to maintain threatened woodland ecosystems at The Morton Arboretum. (Registration opens August 21, 2018) Online component begins: Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
  • Learn the names and ecology of the wildflowers that cover the woodland floor in spring at The Morton Arboretum. This class will be offered again in April 2019. Registration will open February 2019.
  • Learn the identification skills to manage, restore, or simply enjoy prairie habitats at The Morton Arboretum. This class will be offered again in July 2019. Registration will open April 2019.
  • Learn the essentials of wetland ecology and the vital management techniques necessary to maintain threatened wetland ecosystems at The Morton Arboretum. Two days: Wednesday, August 1, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday, August 4, 2018 8:00 a.m. to noon. SOLD OUT. This class will be offered again in June 2019. Registration will open Tuesday, February, 2019.
