The Morton Arboretum works toward a greener, healthier, more beautiful world by planting and protecting trees in urban areas as well as forests. It’s not only for the trees’ own sake, but because they provide many concrete benefits for people and society.

To help us, trees need our care—planting, mulching, pruning, and watering. But it's worth it: Researchers have studied the benefits of trees and determined that for every $1 we invest annually in trees, we get about $2.70 back in benefits.
