Q. Can I buy tickets in advance?
A. Yes, you may purchase a Fast Pass in advance. Please be aware that Fast Pass quantities are limited. Single-event tickets are only sold the day of the event. We accept cash and credit cards.
Q. What is a Fast Pass?
A. Fast Passes are pre-purchased online from March through May, while supplies last. The Fast Pass includes 6 prepaid entries that can be used for faster entry to the event. The pass can be used for multiple people and more than one entry can be used at a time. Learn more or purchase a Fast Pass.
Q. How early should I arrive?
A. The event begins at 5:00 p.m., and ticket sales begin at this time. You may arrive early, but be prepared to wait in line. Admission to the Arboretum for those attending Arbor Evenings is waived after 4:30 p.m. If you are a Fast Pass holder, you may check-in as early as 4:30 p.m. All entry to the lawn begins at 5:00 p.m.
Q. If I don’t bring a chair can I borrow or rent one?
A. No, we do not offer any chair rentals for this event. All seating is general admission on the lawn and guests will need to bring their own blanket or chair.
Q. If it rains is this event cancelled or moved indoors?
A. The Arboretum will do its best to hold this event rain or shine. However, there may be times when a potentially dangerous weather forecast or unsafe ground conditions prevent us from moving forward with the event. The event will not move indoors. All tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for another date. All weather-related event updates will be communicated through our Morton Arboretum Facebook page, website, and the weather hotline at 630-719-2400. If needed, these channels will be updated Wednesday at approximately 3:00 p.m. with weather information.
Q. Can I reserve a spot on the lawn in advance?
A. No, any chairs and blankets left on the lawn prior to 5:00 p.m. will be removed and placed in the Lost and Found area. You may collect any lost items at this location throughout the event. The Morton Arboretum is not responsible for any items lost or left unattended during, or prior to, this event.
Q. Can I bring in food?
A. Yes, you may bring in outside food, but outside beverages (aside from a sealed water bottle) are not allowed. See below.
Q. Can I bring beverages or a reusable water bottle?
A. Sealed water bottles are acceptable. No other outside beverages are allowed. In an effort to reduce waste, we also encourage you to bring an empty resuable water bottle. Water stations will be set up near the bars. Please note that all bags are subject to search and any unsealed beverages (alcoholic or not) will be poured out or confiscated.
Q. Am I able to sit in the White Pine Pavilion?
A. No, the White Pine Pavilion will be reserved for our onsite concessions and group rental opportunities.
Q. Where are the nearest restrooms?
A. Portable restrooms will be available near the concert site. Indoor restrooms are available in our West Pavilion located near the Breezeway/Visitor Center.
Q. Will the Visitor Center remain open during Arbor Evenings?
A. No, the Visitor Center will close at 6:00 p.m. The Arboretum Store, Membership Sales Desk, and Ginkgo Cafe will be unavailable beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Q. Can I renew or purchase a Morton Arboretum membership at Arbor Evenings?
A. Yes, our membership team will be available inside of the Visitor Center until 6:00 p.m. A membership team member will be in the Breezeway at the Membership Cart until 6:30 p.m.
Q. I’m interested in group sales during Arbor Evenings? Who should I speak with?
A. All group inquiries should be directed to Ginkgo Catering by email GinkgoCatering@mortonarb.org or by phone 630-719-2457.
Q. Is there a Lost and Found? If so, where is it located?
A. Yes, any items found will be held near the entrance of Arbor Evenings. If items are not collected during or immediately following the event, they will be brought to the Visitor Services Desk inside the Visitor Center. Please call 630-968-0074 to inquire about any lost items.
Q. In the event of inclement weather in the forecast, how can I find out if Arbor Evenings is still on for the night?
A. All weather-related event update swill be communicated through our Morton Arboretum Facebook page, our website, and the weather hotline at 630-719-2400. All of these will be updated at approximately 3:00 p.m. each Wednesday.
